We're grounded and grateful
we're grateful that you're part of this journey with us
As we enter the holiday season, we are counting our many blessings.
As we enter the holiday season, we are counting our many blessings.
We shared the Block's Core Values with you earlier this fall, and we want to highlight the last one today: Joy (Santosha), in how we experience life, at the Block and beyond.
Santosha (a Niyama) is part of the Eight Limbs of Yoga, according to Patanjali's Yoga Sutras.
The English translation of the Sanskrit word, Santosha, is "contentment".
This yoga principle encourages acceptance of the present moment.
In yoga, we can practice Santosha by detaching from desire and finding gratitude for what we already have, rather than seeking it elsewhere.
On that note...
Thank you to all the teachers who came to audition!
We can hardly express how wonderful it was to meet so many beautiful, dedicated teachers.
We took 40 mini classes, had inspirational conversations, and feel so humbled by everyone's thoughtful offerings.
We're taking a moment to pause and reflect on all that we received in this process.
With gratitude,
Jules & Ash

Leaving you with a yogi's short personal Santosha story that we appreciated... thank you for being part of ours.
